Notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Mendon Fire District, located at 101 Mendon-Ionia Road; Mendon, New York 14506, the District is requesting proposals (RFP) from qualified Design-Build teams to provide comprehensive design and construction services for fire station renovations made possible through the NY State Volunteer Fire Infrastructure & Response Equipment (V-FIRE) Grant Program.
A stipulation of such funding (via NY State Executive Law 15-A) is the promotion of opportunities for the participation of certified minority or women owned business enterprises.
The renovation project has an anticipated budget of $ 288,249 with an estimated start date of October 1, 2025, concluding June 30, 2026. A key component of the project is the addition of dedicated bunk space to accommodate overnight staffing.
Proposals are due September 1, 2025.
