February 3, 2022
The meeting called to order at 19:00 Hrs.
Attending: D.Considine, John Shipe, Steve Shuler, R.Wilsey, Secretary J. McGinnis, Treasurer H. Baumer, Counsel W.Fletcher, M.Arman, D.Friedlander, T.Sellman
Attending Via Zoom: P.Kester
Absent: A.Morrell (Working)
Public Comment: NTR
Calendar & Requests for Meeting Room: S.Marchese for 2/6 8am-3pm. Motion to approve by S,Shuler, 2nd by R.Wilsey. Motion approved unanimously 4-0.
Correspondence: NTR
Board of Directors’ Report:
–President reported that the Board of Directors has formed 3 committees: Recruiting, By-law’s revision, and Building.
–President requested and S.Shuler made a motion to approve a $100.00 gas card to be given to members at the banquet. 2nd by J.Shipe. Motion approved unanimously 4-0.
Chief’s Report:
–YTD Calls: 23 Damage: 0 Injury:_0___
-D.Considine made a motion to approve the purchase order for the Enforcer Retrofit for $1010.00, 2nd by S.Shuler. Motion approved unanimously 4-0.
-Participation in the exercise class was approved as a LOSAP activity.
Minutes:
–J.Shipe made a motion to approve the January minutes, 2nd by D.Considine. Motion approved unanimously 4-0.
Treasurer’s Report:
–The audit is complete.
Capital Projects/Special Projects:
–The Town Zoning Board Meeting is 2/24/22 at 7pm. Approval of Variance for sign will be decided. J.Shipe will give D.Considine a packet of information to have for the meeting.

-Dale’s Report:
-S.Shuler made a motion to approve Dale’s report, 2nd by R.Wilsey. Motion approved unanimously 4-0.
-Leadership:
-Next Meeting is 3/24.
-D.Considine made a motion to convert the District Administrator’s position to a salaried position; 2nd by S.Shuler. Motion approved unanimously 4-0. Details to be determined by the Board.
-Recruitment and Retention:
-The chief is checking with Basin on their recruiting ideas and what makes them so successful.
-Long discussion about the meeting with Fisher’s FD, no conclusions.
Technology:
–New website will launch 2/15/22.

New Business:
-There will be a notice of public hearing and special meeting addressing the adoption of Section 466K of the Real Property Tax Law. This meeting will be at 7:00pm on 2/15/22 at the Mendon Fire Hall.
